View Tribute Book Susan Coler Shogan, 57, of Danville, VA, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Sovah Health, Danville. She was born January 8, 1965, in Barberton, OH, to parents William Coler and the late Donna Nelson Coler. She was married to Mark Allen Shogan, who survives, of the residence. Susan was an active member of New Life Community Church of Danville and enjoyed serving as a member of the Women’s Aglow group. She loved people and was known for always remembering others and their special days. Susan had the gift of encouragement and was a fighter. She overcame significant health issues during her lifetime and became a very productive person, as well as a loving wife and mother. She worked for some years in the food industry as a supervisor. In addition to her husband and father, Susan is survived by a son, Daniel Shogan, a daughter, Kimberly Shogan, brothers William Coler and Matthew Coler and a sister, Martha Coler. She was predeceased by her mother and a brother, Peter Coler. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike., Danville, VA 24541 with Pastor James Reed officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at the residence. Read more
