Gash (57) of Warsaw, Missouri, would like everyone to know that his mission here finished on November 2, 2022. He has business elsewhere and will not be returning. His new mission is in a wonderful place with excellent benefits. An avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan, he urges everyone to cheer them on for him in his absence. Steve was born on November 13, 1964, in St. Joseph, Missouri, one of three sons of Jack F. Gash, who predeceased him, and Norma J. (Gash) Beardsley. He is survived by his son, Steven Gash and granddaughters, Emerald and Arielle Gash of Quinlan, Texas; his mother, Norma, of Warsaw, Missouri; his brother, Rick Gash, of Warsaw, Missouri; and his brother Mark Gash and his wife, Mary, and their sons, Ian and Quinn Gash, of Olathe, Kansas. A printing pressman by trade, Steve worked at both the Houston Chronicle in Houston, Texas, and the Sedalia Democrat in Sedalia, Missouri. Most recently, he worked at Regal Beloit America in Lincoln, Missouri, where he has many valued friends. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Warsaw Christian Church, 320 State Street, Warsaw, Missouri 65355. An inurnment will be held at a later date at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, those who would like to make a gift in Steve’s memory may make those gifts to the family (“Norma J. Beardsley”), who, in turn, plan to make a combined gift to the Church. Steve had a great sense of humor and laughed easily. He asks that you remember the good times fondly and celebrate his life joyfully.
