Steven Leird Warren was born to Addell and Joyce (Leird) Warren on May 3, 1960 in Quinton, Oklahoma. The week he was bon was one of the stormiest times ever recorded in that area. By the time he was a week old he had lived many nights in the cellar due to a tornado and a flood. Mr. Warren passed from this life on December 28, 2022 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at 62 years old. Steven grew up and attended school in Kinta, Oklahoma before finishing his senior year at McAlester High School. He then attended Okmulgee Tech for two years where he studied parts. In August of 1981 he married Dana Larimer, and they had two children together, their daughter Samantha Lea and their son, Steven Chase. They made their home in Garvin County before divorcing in 2003. Steven worked at many local businesses and made friends at each one until his health forced him to retire in 2010. During retirement he enjoyed reading newspapers, watching PBS, going to the casino, and enjoying the company of his dog, Pugsley. Mr. Warren is survived by his daughter: Samantha Sweetman and husband Rodney of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, his son: Steven Chase and wife Chelsee of Shawnee, Oklahoma, his grandsons: Avery McCall, Peyton Lyon, Relic Sweetman, and Chase Warren, his two step-grandchildren: Raylee Williams and Shane Williams, his sister: Shelia Tuley and husband Dan of Wynnewood. Mr. Warren is preceded in death by his parents: Addell and Joyce (Leird) Warren. A sister: Sherry Satterfield, and a grandson: Sled Sweetman. Graveside services for Mr. Warren will be Monday, January 2, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Family visitation will be held Sunday, January 01, 2023 at Wooster Funeral Home in Pauls Valley from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
