Steven E. Merrow, age 74, beloved husband of Bernadette (Henderson) Merrow, died Sunday Dec. 18 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill with his family by his side. He was born in Waltham, August 22, 1948 a son of the late Earle and Valti (McDougal) Merrow and lived in Tewksbury before moving to Dunstable in 1988. Steve was employed by Interstate Electrical in Billerica as an Accountant and was known as a master gardener. When he wasn’t tending to his gardens he enjoyed golfing, biking, canoeing, diving and generally being outdoors, but his true joy came in spending time with his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Melissa DelRossi and her husband Michael of Harvard; two sons, Thomas Merrow and Sara Morrison of Bloomsbury, NJ, and Brian Merrow and his wife Patricia of Bolton; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Ashly, Gabriel, Evan, Anna, Molly and Lyla; two sisters, Susan and Conrad, and Joan and Bob, as well as many nieces and nephews; and the extended Henderson family who are more like siblings to him. Steve was a father, Papa, brother, and friend to more than just his immediate family. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 21, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, December 22, at the Central Cemetery, Main and Westford St. Dunstable, MA at 11 a.m. and a memorial gathering to follow. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kristy Williams Memorial Foundation in Lowell at www.kristywilliams.org/ of Lowell, MA 01852. This is a cancer foundation, which supported Steve during his fight.
