Stephen M. Liell, 59 of Great Kills, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital with his loving family by his side. Stephen was a Police Officer with the NYC Police Department and a 9/11 First Responder. He was also a huge Minnesota Vikings Fan. His biggest accomplishment was being a father to his children. His greatest joys were taking his children to premiere night movies and adventuring the Country with his kids for sporting events. He will be missed more than words can say, every second of every day. He is our Captain America. Stephen was the beloved husband to Michelle Liell. Loving father to Corrine Liell, Maverick Liell, Takara Liell and Jason Liell. Fond brother to Cynthia Christo. Dear step-father to Amanda Panzera-Fox and her son, T.J., and Christianna and Joseph Panzera. Stephen is also survived by his first wife, Colleen Brown-Liell and loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023, at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. (at Eltingville Station), Staten Island, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023at St Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308.
