Obituary Shirley I. (Bollinger) Bochek, 87 of Frazer Township, formerly of Russellton, Indiana Township and Bairdford, died Thursday September 8, 2022 at St. Barnabas Health System, Richland where she had been a patient for the past 5 years. She was born August 23, 1935 in Wilkinsburg to the late Clarence E. and Mary R. (Butts) Bollinger. Shirley grew up in Verona and graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1953. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer attending Transfiguration R. C. Church while she lived in West Deer and Indiana Township. Shirley enjoyed cooking, bingo and traveling. Survivors include her children Raymond L. (Jennifer) Bochek, Jr. of Indiana Township, Tanya R. (Edward) Lustic of Frazer Township and Marlane (Rick) Mercado of New Castle; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and her sister Gloria (Tad) Carpenter of Salem, OR. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. Bochek, Sr., and her brothers Dennis, Clarence “Sonny” and James “Buddy” Bollinger. At Shirley’s request all services were private. she was buried next to her husband, in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
