Sharon Rose Kettleson passed away at the age of 85 on December 4, 2022 at Willow Springs Care in Yakima. Sharon was born January 21, 1937 to Uel Gordon (Pete) Sparks and Etta Ellen (Perkins) Sparks in Putnam Co. Missouri. The family moved to Yakima in the mid-1940s to work in the fruit industry. Sharon married James G Merritt Sr. in 1953. They had three children together. They were married for 15 years. Sharon married Thomas DeRoiser, together they enjoyed four wheeling, camping, fishing, and being snowbirds in Arizona for 27 years until his death in 2000. Sharon married Donald Kettleson in 2002 and enjoyed their time together until his death. Sharon is survived by three children Christine (Randy) Friesz, Kay Irvin, and Jim (Kendy) Merritt Jr, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, her sister-in-law and best friend for over 70 years Aletha Sparks. Sharon was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie Mae Irvin, her parents, husband John Desrosiers, and Donald Kettleson, brothers Gordon and Normans Sparks, and sister-in-law, Shirley Sparks. We would like to thank Willow Springs for their excellent care of our mother during her illness and Valley Hills services. A private memorial service will be held at a later date
