SERVICES: Sunday, November 27, 2022 Richton Full Gospel Church 2:00 p.m. INTERMENT: Walters Cemetery VISITATION: Saturday, November 26, 2022 Jones and Son Funeral Home, Richton 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Richton Full Gospel Church for Mr. Mack E. Hobson, Sr., age 90, of Richton. Mr. Hobson passed from this life on November 24, 2022 at his residence. Bro. David Mills will officiate the service and burial will follow in Walters Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tammy Hobson, Hope Freeman Walker, Douglas Crabtree, Chris Crabtree, Frank Crabtree, Melvin Hobson, and Victoria Yawn as alternate. Mr. Hobson was an automotive mechanic, working at Auto Armature in Hattiesburg for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, reaching the rank of Sargeant. He was a faithful member of Richton Full Gospel Church and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. The family would like to express their appreciation to Tammy Hobson for her love and care shown to Mr. Mack during this time. Mr. Hobson was preceded in death by his son, Mack Hobson, Jr.; grandson, Joseph Taylor; and parents, Melvin and Elizabeth Hobson. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mavis Hobson of Richton; son, Melvin (Belinda) Hobson of Richton; daughter, Becky (Charles) Wright of Oak Grove; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
