She was a daughter of the late Mae (Heckman) Goshorn Bowen. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by; two stepfathers, William F. Goshorn Jr. and Omar C. Bowen; stepbrother, Kirby Bowen; and a daughter-in-law, Tara (Heeter) Bowen. Sara is survived by; two children, Lori A. Bowen, of McConnellsburg, and William D. Bowen III, of Lewistown; stepsister, Wanda Randolph and husband, Gerald, of Idaho; one grandson, William D. Bowen IV, of Lewistown; and several loving cousins. Earlier in life, she worked as an aide at Black’s Hospital and worked as a housekeeper at Family Planning, in Lewistown. Per her request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions in Sara’s memory may be made to; Rescue Our Furry Friends (R.O.F.F), P.O. Box 6, Lewistown, PA 17044, because of her love of dogs and compassion for all animals.
