Sandra Gail Guyton, affectionately known as Gail, of Detroit, passed away at Henry Ford Hospital on July 11, 2022, and the age of 71. Gail was born on December 8, 1950, in Bainbridge, Georgia to Scottlon James and Lucille (nee Travis) Guyton. Gail attended Henry Ford Community College and Detroit Mercy College, completing nursing school. She started her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), then soon after obtained her credentials and was a Registered Nurse (RN) for many years until she retired due to health issues. Gail lived her life exactly how she wanted. She absolutely loved gardening, jewelry and going to the casino. Being outside feeding the birds, squirrels and other critters brought her great joy. Gail was a strong woman, and we believe she had nine lives. She conquered a multitude of health challenges starting very young with rhematic fever which led to her heart issues. She survived open heart surgery, two brain surgeries, cancer and the emotional trauma of delivering a still born baby. After losing her baby boy, her tremendous strength allowed her to continue working as a Registered Nurse in the critical care neo-natal unit helping mothers and babies. Gail is the cherished daughter for Scottlon and Lucille; the loving sister of : Jerome Guyton of Detroit, Gregory Scott Guyton of Detroit, Kenneth James Guyton of Houston, TX, and Trina Dixon-Moses (Nicholas Moses) of Clinton Township; the adored aunt of Kenneth Guyton Jr. and Kalin Guyton and Clarissa Noelle Dixon and Tanyra Tara Guyton.
