Sandra’s Obituary Sandra Christie Gomatos, of Lexington, and Falmouth, MA., born June 14, 1945, passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2022. Beloved wife of Theophilos (Ted) S. Gomatos, and loving mother of Stavros G. Gomatos. Survived by her sister, Victoria Christie-Gustin and her husband, Charles Gustin of Weston; sister-in-law, Catherine Zedros; nieces, Alexis Hasiotis Wintersteen, Aliki Hasiotis Broderick, Dina Hasiotis McEvoy; nephews John and Stephen Zedros; and their loving families. Predeceased by her mother, Alice (Lee) Polley, her father Dean G. Christie, her sister Linda Hasiotis, and her brother-in-law Dr. Christos Hasiotis. A native of Belmont, Sandra attended Belmont High School, class of ’63, and completed her nursing degree at Mount Auburn Hospital School of Nursing class of ’66. She served as an O.R. nurse at Norwood Hospital for several years before marrying her husband, Ted. She was a longstanding member of the Hellenic Women’s Club and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England. Sandy cherished her time at her Cape Cod home with family, where there were many happy years of wonderful gatherings. She always had an ‘open door’ welcome for all the many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends with whom she shared her love, along with her passion for entertaining. Visiting hours Thursday, August 4th, 9:00 -11:00 a.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, 514 Parker St., Boston, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Procession to Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. Family and friends are welcome to join them for lunch, immediately following internment, at Oakley Country Club in Watertown.
