Samuel Leedy April 2, 1973 – October 12, 2022 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Samuel Leedy, 49, of Sheridan, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, in New York. Sam was born Apr. 2, 1973, in Indianapolis, the son of the late Junior and Rose (Collins) Leedy. He married Dawn Rice on Jan. 12, 2021. She survives. Sam graduated from Western Boone High School and worked as a master electrician for Edwards Electrical and Mechanical. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, along with grilling and playing cornhole with his buddies. Sam also enjoyed riding his Harley. He especially loved spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Dawn Leedy; son, Dustin Leedy; daughter, Samantha Leedy; step-son, Aydan Wetter; and sister, Lisa Leedy Morris (Brad). Family and friends will gather Saturday, Oct. 22, for a memorial service from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jamestown Fire Department, 450 W. Main Street, Jamestown, IN 46147.
