Ruth Mae Underland January 2, 1938 – November 27, 2022 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Ruth Mae (Graham) Underland, 84, of Souderton, wife of the late Samuel Jennings Underland Jr., passed away on Sunday, November 27 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Mary Ellen (Patterson) Graham. Ruth was a member of the former Branch Creek Church (now LCBC Church in Harleysville). She enjoyed crafting and loved to collect recipes. Ruth was a talented floral designer, working for many of the florist in the area, doing wedding and special occasion pieces. She was also the former manager of the Montgomeryville Florist for many years. Surviving are children Lynda Ermel, wife of Tom, Sam Underland, husband of Sherri, and Jeanne Masciantonio, wife of Marty; grandchildren Dan Stevenson (spouse Patty), Bryan Ermel (spouse Lori), Chris Ermel (spouse Heather), Courtney Ryan (spouse Pat), Rachel Underland (Eric Santos-Silva), Hayden Underland (Desiree Alessandra)Joey Dougherty, Hana Dougherty, Tim Masciantonio (Jill Austin), Katie Masciantonio (Evan Saunders), and Steven Masciantonio; and great grandchildren Jase, Carter, Colton, Nolan, Cassie, Teddy, and Brielle. Along with her parents and husband she is predeceased by her close friend George Walford. Visitation will be Sunday December 4, 11:00AM to 11:45AM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with a funeral service to start at 12:00PM. Burial will be private and at a later date.
