Ruth Brauss (nee Ruscovick), fondly known to all as “Mema” was born January 25, 1924 in Newark, New Jersey. Prior to moving to Vineland in 2005, she lived for thirty years in Lavallette, NJ where she enjoyed the seashore. Ruth went home to be with the Lord and Savior from sin, Jesus Christ, on November 2, 2022. At age 86, Ruth was “Born Again” into the family of God through the saving grace of Christ (John 3:3). Ruth truly rejoiced in this amazing grace. One of her favorite hymns was Blessed Assurance. The first stanza reads: Blessed Assurance Jesus is mine, Oh what a foretaste of heaven devine. We rest in that assurance, knowing that our dear mother and grandmother is now in the arms of her precious Savior in whom she believed. She was predeceased by her husband Warren in 1974, and her youngest daughter Susan Price in 2016. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter Joanne Schreiner, husband Doug of Upper Deerfield Twp, sons in law James Price of Florida, Rich Dohm of Virginia, four granddaughters: Toni Walder, Joanne Olin, Susan Shepherd (Ovid), Jennifer Eldon, and grandson Andrew Schreiner, seven great grandchildren and four great greats. Ruth is a member of Fairfield PCA in Fairton, NJ. Prior to joining Fairfield, she was a member of Covenant OPC, Vineland where she was active in helping in the Clothes Closet for needy people. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
