Obituary Ruby Jean (Meredith) Young, age 92, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at 2:50 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital with family by her side. Ruby was born April 25, 1930, in Evansville, IN, to Harry Meredith and Elizabeth (Gassaway) Meredith. She retired from Qualex Photo Finishing after 27 years of service. Ruby was an avid reader and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Ruby is survived by her; son, Rondall Young, Jr. (Brenda); brother, Owen Meredith; grandchildren, Kelly Carmen, Misty Collins, Leslie Mosby, Steven Young, Danny Young, Rondall Scott Young, Jason Young and David R. Young; and many great grandchildren. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Meredith; loving husband of 64 years, Rondall L. Young, Sr.; daughter, Carmelita DeTalente; son, David E. Young; sister, Linda Barrett; brothers, Theodore “Ted” Meredith and Jerry “Duke” Meredith; and grandchildren, Andrea Dawn Young and Jeffrey Young. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor JoHanna Damme officiating. Burial will be in Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown, IN. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
