Obituary Ruben Lee Zaragoza, age 56, beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Ruben was born in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Memorial H.S. and followed his passion for Art and Creation. During this time, he attended San Antonio College and served his country honorably for 6 years in the Army Reserves. Ruben’s devotion to art destined him to meet his future wife Margaret Moreno in an art class. Margaret filled Ruben’s heart with joy for 5 years before saying yes to the question he knew he would ask since the second they met. During their 30 years of marriage, they raised 2 beautiful children together, Alejandro and Amberly Zaragoza. Alejandro blessed his father with an amazing granddaughter, Audrey Zaragoza. Alex continues to build on the foundation that his father envisioned at Lotus Creations. Ruben’s last wish was to see Amberly walk the stage, but the Lord took him too soon. Amberly made her father proud by pursuing her education. This summer Amberly will be graduating from Texas A&M University- Kingsville (Honors College) with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science. Due to Rubens lifelong sacrifice and commitment to his work he was able to provide the life he wanted for his family. Ruben will forever be remembered for his sense of humor and contagious laughter, his big heart and generosity, his compassion to help his family and friends and even strangers. He is survived by his parents Jesus and Jesusa Zaragoza, his loving wife, Margaret, his son Alex and granddaughter Audrey, his daughter Amberly, brothers- Jesse (Donna), David (Carmen), and Mark, along with sisters Stella Sandoval, Frances (John) Pinkston, Laura, and Mindy, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family. Services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes Visitation 10:00 – 11:00 am Rosary 11:00 – 11:30 am Mass 11:30 – 12:30 Private burial will be held for immediate family at a disclosed date and time.
