Obituary Ronald Elmer Claridge II, age 66, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 15, 2022. He was born on Monday, September 3, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri, one of three children born to Ronald E. Claridge Sr. and Rosemary M. Claridge (nee Blecha). Ron was a caring and loving husband and father. His love was unconditional, and he shared it wholeheartedly with his entire extended family. He loved spending time with all the younger nieces and nephews at family gatherings, giving them great obstacles to climb. His hands may have been the size of a football; however, he admitted to being a big softie and was filled with unreserved love and compassion for his family and friends. When he was home you could usually find him tinkering in the yard and tending to his outdoor fire pit. He was always a “dreamer” and would constantly talk about “once I win the lottery” he would be able to spend all his time with us and give us anything we needed. We all hope he knows that he was all we ever needed. Ron is survived by his wife of 34 years, Christine M. Claridge; two children, Benjamin Claridge and Cathlyn Claridge; one sister, Rosellen (Jerry) Knapp; one brother, Robert Claridge; father-in-law, Donald Wildgrube; brother-in-law of Rob (Gina) Wildgrube, Sherrie (Moe) Hudson, Kathy Carder and Tom (Karla) Wildgrube; uncle of Danny (Allison) Knapp, Elaina (Rick) Crabtree, Brian (Melanie) Wildgrube, Abby Wildgrube, Ashton (Brandon) Moss, Samantha Carder, Clinton (Christine) Carder, Madelyn (David) Kellough, Alec Cochran, Austin (Cameron) Wildgrube, and Alexis Wildgrube. He was also a loving great uncle to seventeen, and a dear cousin and friend to many. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law, Alene Wildgrube.
