Obituary Former New Jersey resident Roland De Guzman, 84, passed away at home surrounded by his family on January 8, 2022. Roland was born on June 4, 1937, in Angat. Bulacan, Philippines, to Juanito and Aurora De Guzman. He is a beloved husband of Sagrada Obico: a loving father of Maria Rizza/Manolito, Rhoda Ann and Joseph Allan; a dear brother of Pacencia and Julia; and a proud grandfather of Lemuel, Marshal, Charlene, Allyson, Charisse, Ana Lhey/Ivan, Anna Sarena and Carlo/Maryl. Papa Roland as his great- grandfather refer to him by Eris, Jinn Kishan, Raleigh and Nico. Born in Philippines and immigrating to USA, He spent his life as a hardworking, dedicated, faithful and loving man. Roland was a man who never cared much about himself and who even in his final days thought of his children. His stories will surely be missed by his grandchildren, miles apart but never at heart. Mr. De Guzman spent most of his work days in Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield lending a helping hand to his colleagues. Funeral service will take place in Angat. Bulacan. Philippines to be handled by St. Monique Funeral Homes. Interment will take place at Angat Himlayan ng Lahi at a later date.
