Obituary Mr. Roger Glenn Childress, age 72 of North Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. James Childress and Pastor Donnie Shumate officiating. Burial will be at Scenic Memorial Garden Cemetery. Roger was born September 18, 1950 in Wilkes County to Uless James “UJ” and Minnie Sebastian Childress. He loved his family deeply, along with his Savior and was ready to join those that had gone on before. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Charlie Childress, a brother-in-law; Tony Jester and a sister-in-law; Anna Childress. He is survived by his wife; Stephanie Ann Childress, a son; Scott Glenn Childress (Kay) of Grand Prairie, TX, three grandchildren; Phoebe Childress, Simeon Childress, Hattie Childress, two sisters; Verina Jester of Yadkinville, Teresa Eller (Ricky) of Wilkesboro, two brothers; James Childress (Evelyn) of Statesville, David Childress of North Wilkesboro and many nieces and nephews.
