Obituary OSSUN ~ Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at an 11:00 a.m. Liturgy of the Word in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Robley Broussard, age 88, who passed away Friday, November 11, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Kenneth Domingue, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mr. Broussard was a native and lifelong resident of Ossun. He was the owner and operator of Robley Broussard Home Builder for over 62 years and along with his wife, founded and owned the Ossun Market from 1985 to 1994. They were faithful parishioners of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott. Robley was a true southern gentleman who was never afraid of hard work – he was especially fond of raising cattle. Survivors include three sons, Michael Broussard and his wife, Mona, Randy Broussard and his wife, Melinda, all of Scott, and Dwight Broussard and his wife, Tina, of Duson; his grandchildren, Kyle Broussard and his wife, Naomi, Kory Broussard and his fiancĂ©, Erica, Dru Broussard and his companion, Drew Ann, Tara Primeaux and her husband, Jeremy, Bo Broussard and his wife, Brooke, Jacqueline Choplin and her companion, Jacques, and Lauren Broussard; his great-grandchildren, Parker Broussard, Amelie Broussard, Anastyn Broussard, Tinley Broussard, Gavin Richard, Landon Richard, Paxton Primeaux, Grayson Primeaux, Lucy Primeaux, Bodhi Broussard, Brave Hayes Broussard, Elizabeth Fontenot, and Adalynn Simon; and a sister-in-law, Patsy Broussard of Bayou Benoit. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, who passed exactly 2 weeks before him, Mrs. Joyce Broussard; his parents, Ambrose Broussard and the former Celestine Brasseaux, both natives of Carencro; four brothers, Laodice Broussard, Paul Kermick Broussard, Austin Broussard, and John Allen Broussard; and two sisters, Bernice Pourcio and Gussie Courville. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Michael Broussard, Randy Broussard, Dwight Broussard, Kyle Broussard, Kory Broussard, Dru Broussard, Bo Broussard, and Jeremy Primeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Tara B. Primeaux, Ricky Broussard, Jacqueline Choplin, Jimmy Boyer, Lauren Broussard, and Russell Courville. Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N.
