It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Robert William (Billy) Arnold, 79 of Dunmore, PA. Bill passed away peacefully at CMC Hospital, on December 28, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Donna, and his loving family. Bill showed an amazing amount of love, strength, and courage right up until the end of his illness. Born in Carbondale Pa, he was the son of the late Harry T. Arnold and the late Margaret Shelinski. Bill was a great musician and a wonderful kind person. Bill started his musical career at the age of 7 playing on the radio in Carbondale. He was a 1961 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School. After graduation, he played nightly, starting with the Freddy Cole Review, the Army Band, Paul Ardito Trio, The Exact Change, Lexington, and then formed his own band, “The Bill Arnold Band.” Because of his great talent, Bill had the wonderful privilege of playing his music all over the world. He played in various resorts in the Pocono Mountains and had the privilege of playing for many big names in the music industry. He always referred to himself as a piano player, but most people will remember him for his great ability to impersonate many famous singers like Frank Sinatra, Elton John, and Ray Charles. Bill was known for his unforgettable talent of singing in his Donald Duck voice and it always brought joy and laughter to everyone in the crowd. He touched so many lives with his music and made many friends along the way. He had a beautiful smile that would light up any room. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him. Also surviving, his wife of 43 years, Donna Incavido Arnold; daughter, Tara Michel Watkins and companion Jeff Christy, Brooklyn, NY; grandson, Kenneth Watkins, Scranton, Pa; sister, Barbara McNeish, Clarks Summit, Pa.
