View Tribute Book Robert L. “Bob” Schwartz, 74, of Hopewell Township, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was born February 5, 1948, in Irvington, NJ, to the late William and Florence (Abramowitz) Schwartz. He graduated from Irvington High School in 1966, and later moved to Livingston, NJ. He was married to his wife Joan (Ambrosio) for 42 years. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his grandchildren. Bob was employed by USAirways for 34 years, retiring as a Flight Dispatcher in 2004. He began his career in Newark, NJ and later transferred to JFK airport. He moved to the Pittsburgh area after accepting a position as a flight dispatcher in 1984. As a father, Bob was very involved in the activities of his children, devoting many years to Hopewell sports, constructing musical sets, and chaperoning the Viking band. Bob was also a member of the Hopewell Township Volunteer Fire Department for many years. His passion was the Fire Prevention Program which introduced fire safety to school children with his best furry friend, Blaze the dalmatian, by his side. Bob is survived by his wife, Joan, his children Eric (Jessica) Schwartz and Krista (David) Braymer, grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, and Kylee Schwartz, David and Michael Braymer. He is also survived by his sisters Deborah (Jon) Marcus, Marci (Craig) Stanley, and Sheila (Harvey) Kolosky, sister-in-law Rosanne (Thomas) Mammolito, uncle David (Rochelle) Schwartz, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob also leaves behind two very special friends whom he considered brothers, Richard Genabith, and John Amiano. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his parents-in-law Peter and Ann Ambrosio, sister-in-law and her husband, Marlene and Christian Nagel. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., CENTER TWP.,3475 Brodhead Road, Monaca, PA 15061, where a service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 10am. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery on Thursday November 10, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to the Beaver County Humane Society. Read more
