TROY – Robert F. “Bear” Garner, 55, passed away on December 14, 2022. Born in Troy, the son of the late Daniel Garner, Sr. and Charlotte Feeley Garner, Bear was the husband of Kimberly Ann (Varney) Garner. He was a masonry foreman for Davco, LLC in Watervliet where he worked for more than 30 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing and being with his family and friends. He was father of Amanda Bene, Robert F. Garner, II (Jessica Laneau), Christopher Garner and Kimberly Hayden (Kevin, Sr.); grandfather of Christopher Hayes, Abigail Hayes, Gabriel Hayes “Cheerio”, Amelia Bene, Matias Bene, Robert Garner, III, Aiden Garner, Jackson Garner, Lila Garner, Kevin Patrick Hayden, Jr., Kenneth Hayden, Katia Hayden, Karter Hayden “Fat Fat” and the late Olivia Bene; brother of Daniel Garner, Jr., Kimberly Foster, Cynthia Sullivan and the late Walter Garner. Also several niece and nephews and his dogs Chugger and Cinnamon survive. A memorial prayer service will be held for Bear on Tuesday at 1 pm in the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet.
