LaGrangeville – Robert E. Walsh passed away on March 1, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Robert was born on November 3, 1940 in the Bronx to Thomas and Ann (Pasternak) Walsh. He married the love of his life Dorothy Walsh (nee’ Fink) at St. Francis of Rome Church in the Bronx on November 16, 1963. For the past 52 years, they made their home in LaGrangeville, NY. Previous to that, they lived in Yonkers. Robert served proudly in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Maryknoll Missionaries in Ossining, NY for 20 years. He also worked for the Dutchess County Office of Central and Information Services as a programmer. In his younger years, Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Dutchess County Pistol Association. He also loved to collect Lionel, HO and N gauge model trains. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy; his loving son Kevin Walsh (Laura Betty); and his grandson Tyler Walsh. Calling hours will be on Sunday March 6, 2022 from 2-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY, with the funeral service at 4pm. Donations in Robert’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children www.lovetotherescue.org or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
