Robert Arthur Pendley, 74, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2022 with his children and grandchildren by his side in Draper, Utah. He was born November 20, 1947 in Oakland, California to Nathaniel Pendley and Hilda Pendley Blalock. Robert graduated form Pacific High School in San Leandro, California and went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Electronical Engineering. His line of work transferred him from California to Tennessee, and then to Utah where he raised his family. Robert joined the Army in 1969 and was stationed in Okinawa. This is where he met our mother, Elizabeth Anne Statum, and was married in December of 1971. They went on to raise four children together. His hobbies included attending Mountain Man Rendezvous and making leather moccasins and clothes by hand, building model train layouts, building and rebuilding car engines and was a huge movie buff. Robert is survived by his four children, Cheryl (Eric) Jones, Eric (Kim) Pendley, Elaina (Josh) Allan and Melissa (Tyrone) Wardle. Grandchildren: Chanler Wayland Pendley, Jade Jones, Braden Jones, Brock Jones, Aubrey Pendley, Emily Jones, Tristan Allan, Nevaeh Wardle and Cooper Allan and brothers Steve Pendley and Terry Pendley. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Hilda Pendley; his brother, Glen Pendley and grandchild Demitrius Allan. A funeral service for Robert will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held immediately before starting at 10:00 am. The interment will take place at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park located at 17111 South 1700 West in Bluffdale, Utah with Military Honors.
