Robert’s Obituary Robert Allen Kent, Kimberling City, MO, son of John and Maymie (Irwin) Kent was born October 21, 1932, in Kansas City, MO and departed this life on January 25, 2022, at the age of 89. Robert had been a resident of the area for fifteen years, moving here from Sunland, CA. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps at a young age and as a civilian became an inspector as a military contractor. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kimberling City and member of the Masons and Shriners. Robert was preceded in death by: his wife, Darlene (Guthrie) Kent; his parents and brother, Johnny Kent. Survivors include: son, James Herren and wife, Cindy of Kimberling City, MO; two grandsons, Dennis Herren and wife, Sarah of New Orleans, LA and John Herren and wife, Ann of New Orleans, LA; three great grandchildren, Livingston Herren, Thor Herren and Bellatrix Herren and a host of other family and friends. Burial with military honors will be Monday, February 1, 2022, at 12:00 noon at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield, MO. Pastor Ron Rasmussen will be officiating.
