Rita’s Obituary Rita E. Schostag, age 90 of St. Peter died Tuesday, February 22nd at Benedictine Living Community, St. Peter. Private family services will be held. Condolences for the family can be left on her obituary at www.saintpeterfuneralhome.com. Rita was born November 18, 1931 in Tyler MN to John Peter and Marie Catherine (Fuhrmann) Dressen. The family moved to Arlington MN where she graduated from High School in 1949. She married Glen Schostag on April 11th, 1953. They made their home in St. Peter where she was employed at ADC and Onan. She enjoyed listening to Polka music, cooking and making bread, doing crochet and needlework, was an accomplished seamstress, and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered for taking care of others’ needs first and being the backbone of her family. Left to remember Rita are her children: Joel, Gail, Alan (Colleen), Jeanine (Brad) Zetah, and Diane (Rick) Markiewicz; daughter-in-law: Judy Schostag; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister Rosemary Dressen and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; and a son, Mark. Read More
