Rita M. Clements, 79, of Evansville, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Emerald Place in Washington, IN. She was born February 18, 1943 in Loogootee, Indiana to the late Francis and Ernestine (Ash) Hunter. Rita was a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital for 25 years. She volunteered at Gilda’s Club, St. Vincent de Paul and the Nativity Clothes Closet. Rita was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Rita is survived by her daughter, Shannon Clements (David Watts); son, Shane (Amy) Clements; grandchildren, Lucy Clements, Magnus Watts and Alaina Clements; and her brother, John (Jane) Hunter; and sister, Anna Marie (Steve) Baird. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband, William Anthony “Tony” Clements in 1999. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue, Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Road, Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Father Martin Estrada officiating. Private burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Loogootee, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
