Obituary Richard Perrine, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Richard was an avid gardener and loved hunting mushrooms and fishing. He was a strong supporter of the community and worked as a Counselor to those in recovery as well as in Law Enforcement and at the Herald-Whig prior to his retirement. Richard is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Carver and his son, Ricky Perrine, both of Independence, Missouri, along with his five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Randy Perrine of Quincy, and sisters, Shelly Perrine Campbell of Georgia and Robin Brown Daughtery of Camp Point, Ill. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Perrine and Mariann Gann as well as by the love of his life, Vickie Hoener, along with his beagle and constant companion, Lady. Richard was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. No services will be held and cremation rites have been accorded. Interment will be held privately at Kinderhook Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
