Tuesday January 18th 2022
Richard Paul Snyder, of Barto, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his home. He was 84 years old. He was the husband of the late Betty (Leister) Snyder. Born in Woxall, he was the son of the late Calvin and Alice (Simpson) Snyder. Richard was employed at Alan Wood Steel Company in Allentown for many years and following that, he worked for the former Davis Brothers Scrap Company in Pottstown. An avid “junkman” he loved to scrap and salvage anything he could get his hands on. He loved horseracing and going to the casinos, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He lived a long and happy life. He always said “I feel 21 because my children keep me young!”. Every day was a great day because he made it one and didn’t let anyone destroy his happiness. He got his family through anything and everything. Surviving are six children, Donald Snyder, Terry Snyder, Sandy Houch, Tina Amos, and Stacy and Jennifer Snyder; six step-children, Megan and Michael Lesher, Shawn, Travis, and Cory Hilbert and Kira Muska; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be private at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville, PA.
