Richard Lawson Wheeler December 14, 1922 – March 3, 2022 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook Wheeler, Richard L. “Dick” age 99 of Saint Paul passed away peacefully at home March 3, 2022. Richard, a veteran of WWII, was a retired Civil Engineer with the City of Saint Paul, then owner of General Music Inc. on Arcade Street. He played trumpet with many Twin Cities bands. His beloved wife June and grandson Samuel Peterson precede him in death. He is survived by his children: James, Anne (William) Tisel, Dawn (Michael) Georgieff, Linda (Richard) Peterson, and John (Marie Hawthorne). Grandchildren: Adam Tisel, Karen (Matthew) Fast, Paul (Natalie) Georgieff, Larissa (Christopher) Amott, Carl (Helen Booth-Tobin) Peterson, Alexander Georgieff, and Sean Morrisette. Great-Grandchildren: Claire Fast, Erik Fast, Parker Georgieff, Hazel Georgieff, and Elizabeth Peterson. Dick was very active throughout his life and was always interested in music, building projects, and especially, his family. Visitation 4-6 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral home, 515 Hwy 96 W. at Mackubin. Funeral service 11 AM Thursday at Central Presbyterian Church, 500 Cedar Street, St. Paul. Interment Oakland Cemetery. Memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
