Dick was extremely proud of the achievements of Uff Machine Company’s 109 years and its manufacturing of Precision and Production Parts for the Military, Navy, Boeing Helicopter, DuPont Worldwide, Synthes and many more, including Farm parts. The company did a lot for the community of farmers and mariners in need of custom emergency fitting and parts as well. Everyone who knew McDick remembers him fondly and can recall great stories of time spent with him. He extended his friendship to many of his children’s friends and enjoyed entertaining. He loved a good time with family and friends. He enjoyed many memorable hunting & fishing trips with family and friends thru out the US, Canada, Mexico, South America and South Africa. Among his favorites was boating out of Rock Hall whether fishing or relaxing, He enjoyed being able to get away to go power boating from Cape May, N.J. to Islamorada, Florida. Dick also loved sailing, canoeing in New Hampshire and on the Brandywine River in his fleet of canoes. Some might say he was born with a rod in one hand and a gun in the other.
