Celebration of Life Service for Rhonda Lynn Novotney, 61 of Waukomis, formerly of Mt. Croghan, S.C., will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Waukomis Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Tim Dorsch officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Rhonda was born on July 21, 1961, in Charlotte, N.C. to Howard and Gwen Collins and grew up on the Westside of Charlotte. She passed this life peacefully on December 1, 2022, after becoming ill while visiting family in Oklahoma. She married Stephen Novotney in York, S.C. and two children were born of that marriage, Stephanie and Stephen. Later, son Ryan Bumgarner was born. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children Stephanie Stephens and husband David of Edmond, OK, Stephen Novotney of Fayetteville, N.C. and Ryan Bumgarner of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters Margo Sholtz of Strasburg, Ohio, Roxanne Pollard and husband Barry of Waukomis, OK, brother Keith Collins of Enid; two grandchildren Ethan Stephens and Brynlee Stephens; nephews Jeff King and Jim Sholtz and nieces April King and Carrie Collins Bradley. She had many family members in North and South Carolina along with friends who will miss her greatly. A very special thank you to Dr. Bozeman, Dr. Shepherd and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for the loving care they extended to Rhonda during the last month of her life. The family would greatly appreciate memorials to United Way of NW OK through Anderson-Burris Funeral Home
