Obituary Rebecca Sue Devenney, 76, of Tekonsha, passed away on December 11, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family, in Tekonsha. She was born on August 4, 1946, to David Earl and Leona (Davis) Washburn in Marshall, MI. Rebecca married Charles, on October 31st, 1964. She worked hard and took care of her family. Rebecca and Charles lived in Tekonsha, Michigan for most of their lives. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tekonsha. She was actively involved in the Tekonsha Research Club, the Tekonsha Historical Society, the General Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC). Rebecca is survived by her children, Christin (Ron) Huston, Caroline (Jeff) Stout, Loren (Michele) Devenney; Grandchildren, Andy Hustin, Alex Hustin, Aiden Hustin, Constance Baker, Wyatt (Laura) Stout, Dwight Devenney; Ethan (Christopher and Jessica Gelenty) Stout, Nichole Devenney; Great-Grandchildren, Riley Stout and Frederick Gelenty. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles Devenney, Her Parents, Two Grandchildren, Phillip Duckham and Richard Baker II, Great-Grandchild, Richard Baker, III. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022, 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Tekonsha, Tekonsha, Michigan, with Brian Perry, officiating, with visitation an hour prior to the service. Interment will take place immediately following the service, in the Lyon Lake Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Guiding Harbor or Deacon’s Fund at the First Baptist Church of Tekonsha.
