Bennett, age 96, of Grove City passed peacefully at home on Friday, July 15, 2022, of natural causes surrounded by her family. Rebecca was born in Grove City, on August 7, 1925, to Henry Wayne and Helen M. (Phillips) Webster. She married Harold C. Bennett, on Dec. 24, 1943; he preceded her in death on March 16, 2002. Rebecca attended Grove City High School and was a member of Wayside Community Church. Harold and Rebecca Bennett in 1947 owned and operated “Harold’s Radio Store” and “Becky’s Tropical Treasures” at 105 N. Broad Street, Grove City and in 1958 established and owned Willow Hills Golf Center, Inc., located on George Jr. Road, Grove City. Rebecca is survived by her three children, Nancy J. Barnes, Grove City, Cathleen J. Merritt and husband John, MI, and Timothy L. Bennett and wife Frances, Grove City, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Rebecca was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph E., and Richard M. Webster, and two sisters, Doris Jean Webster, and Shirley A.
