Obituary Randy Emery Davies, age 73, of Shell Knob, MO passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. His wife and children were with him, surrounding him with love. Randy was born on June 30, 1949, in Elyria, OH to Alan Emery Davies and Louise Law Davies, of whom he was preceded in death. Randy was blessed to have big brother Dan Davies whose kindness, compassion, guidance, and friendship lasted his lifetime. Randy graduated from Elyria High School, class of 1967. He maintained contact with many high school classmates throughout his lifetime. He went on to pursue higher education at Ashland College, where he met Brad Gonsalves and a friendship-brotherhood-bond began that stood the test of time, distance, family life, and career paths. A shared passion for music, good food, and various travel adventures kept their friendship strong. After college Randy ventured into the business world and began lifelong sales career, beginning with Oscar Mayer in St. Louis, then transitioning to the orthopedics field where he thrived and grew with Ortho Tech, a company based in CA. A gift for gab & public speaking, he chose the right career. He switched gears mid-life, and worked at Gibson Printing for 8 years, and was very active in both St. Peters and St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, where he was an ambassador and founder of a group that mentored young professionals. He was a guest harmonica player at many Chamber events. His career wrapped up working at Community News. As his career was winding down, he felt the familiar pull to Table Rock Lake, and eventually purchased a home at the lake. What began as a place to go fishing anytime became a home where he could go fishing all the time. Randy loved the outdoors and fishing with his boys while kayaking Missouri rivers and fishing at Table Rock. In addition to being a nature lover, he was a gifted blues musician who was known to appear with local blues groups in the St. Louis music scene. Somewhere in this fun and busy life he also became an excellent swing dancer, and lover of all God’s creatures, especially dogs and birds. Randy was a man of strong faith, which carried him through the tough times and the best of times. He was famous for his quick wit and sense of humor and will be remembered by many for the great times with him. Randy was united in marriage to Wanda Moore, and together they raised 3 children. He loved the outdoors and raised the kids to appreciate and respect nature with frequent camping, river floats, and trips to Table Rock Lake near Springfield, MO. Randy is survived by his wife Wanda Davies, son Darren Gibson, daughter Robin Cavanaugh & husband Jim, and youngest son Dusten Randall Davies; grandchildren Ben Gibson and wife Megan, Brandon Gibson, Kristine Levy and husband Brandon, Zach Vogt, Ryan Cavanaugh, and Traigh Cavanaugh; and great-grandchildren Keegan, Mason, Noah, Kyson, and Saylor Jo. He is also survived by his brother Dan Davies and his wife Pat, nieces and nephews Kirsten, Kent, Kara, and Kyle, and their families. Randy’s multitude of dear friends, old and new, across all parts of the country are a testament to the kind of man he was: dedicated, kind, compassionate, giving, loving, with a heart of gold. His family wishes to express their gratitude for these friends for the prayers, care, and support over the last several months and want to thank the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO, who gave us more time with him, as well as the Integrity Hospice Team who provided excellent end of life care. Randy was a giver in his life, not a taker. If you would like to make a charitable contribution in memory of this amazing man, please research and consider a donation to a local hospice service. A celebration of life service will be planned for spring 2023. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory of Cassville.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Randall Emery Davies June 30 1949 October 26 2022.
