Ramona Pratt Gale, 87, was born February 8, 1935 in El Paso, Texas, to Harold Wilcken Pratt and Anna Hendrickson. She passed away peacefully on December 12, 2022 at her daughter Jennifer’s home in Boise, Idaho. She was a wise and loving daughter of God who loved her family and they loved her. Ramona and her identical twin Carmen were the 6th and 7th children born in a family of 10 children in Chihuahua, Mexico and spoke fluent Spanish. She served a full-time mission in Mexico at age 18. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education. She furthered her education in Library Science and was an elementary school librarian. Ramona and Carmen had a double wedding. Ramona married James Gale, her sweetheart. They have 12 Children – 7 boys and 5 girls. They were the joy of her life. She was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a senior mission with her husband James in the Ciudad Juarez Employment Center. She loved entertaining and her home was always open to others. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Harold and Anna Hendrickson Pratt; husband, James Eldon Gale; son-in-law, Ronald Bennett; son, Mark Edward Gale; grandson, Wynter Gale; brother, Harold W. Pratt Jr; Sisters, Ana Marie, Lucile, Gerda, Carmen, and Elena. She is survived by sisters, Berta, Dorotha Rae, and Kathleen; Children, Pamela (Blake) Layton, Patricia (Mark) McLean, James Marlin (Mary) Gale, Kathryn (Ronald dec.) Bennett, David Pratt (Patti) Gale, Evelyn (Brent) Jensen, Paul Russell (Jodi) Gale, Mathew Glen Gale, Daniel Bruce Gale, Jennifer (Ladd) Williamson, Jon Eldon (Brooke) Gale; 46 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 17th, at 11:00 am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 828 South Locust Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
