Ralph’s Obituary It is with a heavy heart that the family of Ralph W. Lyons, Sr., has to inform all those who were friends, acquaintances, and family, of his passing on September 22, 2022. Ralph W. Lyons, Sr. was born March 23, 1944 to James Lyons Sr. and Hattie Mai Lyons, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. After completing schooling in Murfreesboro, he joined the United States Army in 1963, and served until June 1984. During his time in the Army, he was married to Yvonne Lyons, until their separation, and spent time overseas in Vietnam and Germany, earning many distinguished accommodations along the way. After his retirement in 1984, he married Kelley McMurray, who preceded him in death in 2011. He continued his post military life with his good friend Beryl Singh along his side, until his untimely passing. Ralph W. Lyons, Sr., is survived by his five children, Cathy Lyons, Ralph W. Lyons, Jr., Tarsha Collins, Ralph V. Lyons, and Brittany Lyons. Inurnment with military honors will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, 9:00am, in South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
