On Sunday, January 9, 2022, our hearts were saddened by the passing of our beloved, RaeQuan Demetrius Everett at the age of 25. He passed in Hopewell, Virginia at his residence. Raequan was born in Prince George’s County, Maryland on June 29, 1996 to Shyrita Butler and Eric Everett, Sr. He attended Hopewell High School, Hopewell, VA and was a graduate of The Class of 2016. Raequan enjoyed the art of making music and dreamed of becoming a Producer and Artist. RaeQuan was popular in his community and well received because of his mannerism and swagger. RaeQuan leaves to cherish his memories and is survived by his mother, Shyrita Butler of Prince George’s County, MD and father, Eric Everett, Sr. of Hopewell, VA; nine siblings, Erica Everett, Eric Everett, Jr., Breonna Butler, Maleik Everett, Tyreik Everett, Ahmere Butler, Amene Butler, Alexis Butler and Aaliyah Butler; grandparents, James and Lucille Young of Prince George, VA, Doris R. Turner and Francis Butler of Prince George’s County, MD; three nieces, Brooklyn Butler, Britnay Butler and Ava Williams; one nephew, Blake Hinton; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, a special and devoted friend whom he cherished dearly, Keanna Tyler who stood by his side and was always there during good and bad times; along with other close friends who supported him during hard times, Vanetta Smith, Annette Williams, Shantle “Momo” and Dannette Taylor. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at Faith & Hope Temple Church of God in Christ, 1800 E. Washington St., Petersburg, VA with Rev. Dr. Antonio A. Tucker, Sr. officiating. The service will be live streamed. Public Viewing will be Friday, January 14, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
