COOPER – Phyllis Amendt Cooper, age 93 of Bethlehem, GA, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Owen Skinner officiating. Phyllis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Towson, MD and the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cooper, Jr.; son, James E. Cooper, III; parents, Christopher Philip and Mildred Hurley Amendt; and brother, Dahle Amendt. She is survived by her sons, James Philip Cooper (Kathy) of Kill Devil Hills, NC and James Randolph Cooper (Melanie) of Bethlehem, GA; daughter-in-law, Carole Cooper of Lilburn, GA; sister, Lucy Amendt Moore Miller of Cockeysville, MD; grandchildren, James Anthony Cooper (Liz), James Benjamin Cooper (Mary Lou), Andrea Cooper Holland (Jason), David Emory Cooper (Holland), Jennifer Cooper Newcomer (David), and James Alexander Cooper; step-grandchildren, Ansley Rebstock-Gleason (Eli), Charles Trevor Bulmer, and Laurie Elizabeth Bulmer; great grandchildren, Lilly Lou, William, Owen, Ella, Aden, Mallory, Logan; step great grandchildren, Sydney, Ethan, and Charley; numerous family and friends. The family will receive friends 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. 770-466-1544.
