Obituary Peggy Joyce McKinney, of Sherman, passed from this life Tuesday, December 13, 2022. She was born October 26, 1934, in Bonham. She was the daughter of William Henry and Bertha (Campbell) Newsom. She attended Bonham Schools. Peggy worked at Kmart in Sherman for over 20 years and later at the Denison Girls Club and Denison Public Schools in the Grandparent Program where she read books to schoolchildren. She was a member of North Park Baptist Church in Sherman. She truly loved reading and spending time with her kids and Grandkids. Peggy is survived by her children; daughter, Connie McKinney of Sherman, son, Scott McKinney of Sherman, daughter, Kelly McKinney Hollensed of Sherman; grandchildren, Heather Rexrode, Kelsey Simmons and her husband Curt, Zach McKinney and his wife Madison, all of Sherman and Addison Hollensed of Los Angeles, Ca.; great grandchildren, Jade Lockaby, Emersyn Simmons, both of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Mamie, a brother, William Newsom, 2 sisters, Mary Ellen Dodson and Evelyn Couzens.
