View Tribute Book Peggy Jane Smith Weaver 94, it is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our mother, aunt and cousin on Saturday, November 5, 2022. A lifelong resident of Logan, she spent her entire life as a caregiver for her family. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Thelma Smith, her brother C. Donald Smith, and her husband C. Thomas Weaver. Peggy was a devote Christian and also a life member of the First Baptist Church of Logan, where she served as treasurer for many years. As young mother she served as a Cub Scout leader, PTA Homeroom Mother, Sunday School teacher, Church Circle member, and enjoyed a morning coffee with her neighbors. Peggy touched many lives all with love, concern and compassion. She will be greatly missed. Peggy is survived by a son Larry Thomas Weaver, nieces Terri Douglas and Edith Ann Newberg of TN, Cousin Donna Gosney of Madison, sister in law Lois Smith Douglas Adkins of TN. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan, with Rev. Michael Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, WV. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
