Paul Joseph McGuinness passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19th, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Paul is the son of Joseph and Anne (Clark) McGuinness. He was born in Waterbury, CT., and was raised in first East Hartford and then West Hartford. He is a graduate of William H. Hall High. He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boston University, and then studied at the UConn Social Work Master’s program. Paul was a long-time employee of the Southbury Training School in Southbury, CT, working in direct patient care. His main professional love in life was in radio, having worked as a music DJ at Hartford-area radio stations WJMJ and WWUH-FM radio. Paul was an avid skier and a former member of the Springfield Ski Club, and he enjoyed many ski vacations all over New England, first with his family when he was young and then later accompanied by his three children. He is survived by sister Terry McGuinness Hollon (Jack) of Baltimore, MD, brother Peter McGuinness (Joan Levinstein) of New York City, as well as his former wife Andrea (Brunault) McGuinness of Holyoke, MA and their three wonderful and talented children Emily, Megan, and Kara McGuinness who gave him tremendous pride and great companionship. Viewing hours are on Saturday November 26 from 9am to 10am at Molloy Funeral Home – 906 Farmington Ave, West Hartford, with a service at Molloy directly afterward at 10:30, followed by burial at nearby Fairview Cemetery.
