Paul’s Obituary Paul D. Shoff, 73, of Macungie, died on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He and his wife, Cindy K. (Miller) Shoff, would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on October 28. Born in Cherryville, PA, he was the son of the late Martin L. and Ruth A. (Debus) Shoff. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Paul retired from the former Emmaus Auto Parts Store, where he was a counter salesman for 30 years until he retired in 2011. Previously he was a cook for the former Barney’s Diner. Paul built motors for race cars for more than 20 years with Carmen “Pop” Bauman and enjoyed working on the cars at Dorney Park and Mahoning Valley Speedway. He later shared his trade with his son Scott, who helped him build motors for several years. Paul was a simple man, who loved coffee, sweets and ice cream and would have done anything for anyone. One of his greatest joys in life was watching his grandson, Robert, compete in sporting events and later his great nephew Brody. He enjoyed the quality time he spent with family and friends, rooting on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs and Dale Earnhardt. Survivors: Wife; Son, Scott Shoff and his wife Amy, and their son, Robert; Daughter, Michelle Bauer and her husband Matt, and their son, Dakota; Sisters, Naomi Mease and Eleanor Snyder; and Brother, Barry Shoff. He was preceded in death by a Brother, Glenn; and Sisters, Lucille and Nancy. Services: 4 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street Emmaus. A viewing will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. For those that are able to attend, Paul’s wishes were for everyone to dress casual, as he would have.
