She was born on July 12, 1935 in Titus County, TX to Chester Edwards and Mavis (Hinson) Edwards. Patsy was of the Baptist faith. She worked in several retail establishments and was a homemaker who enjoyed raising and caring for her family. Patsy loved animals and rescued all she could. She enjoyed plants and flowers and crafting. Most of all she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mavis Edwards; brother, Jack Stephens; and sister, LaRue Robertson. Left to cherish Patsy’s memory is her loving family: son, Gary Kirkham of Mount Pleasant, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Lainie & Doug Hinton of Mount Pleasant, TX; grandchildren: Ashley and husband Brett Ragsdale of Mount Pleasant, TX; Hunter Hinton of Mount Pleasant, TX; great-grandchildren: Holden and Layton Ragsdale of Mount Pleasant, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny & Becky Edwards of Mount Pleasant, TX; sister, Linda Stevenson of Mount Pleasant, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sharon & Sonny Ortega of Mount Pleasant, TX and Carol Jean & David McNeil of Mount Pleasant, TX; as well as numerous treasured nieces and nephews and special lifelong friend, Neal Hinson. Funeral services will be held at the Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 with visitation to begin at 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Damascus Cemetery, 394 County Road 1135, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455.
