Patricia Pollard Lawson, born May 24, 1939, to William E. and Annie Jane Pollard, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2022, in Groves, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Patricia was a 1957 graduate of Bridge City High School and later that year she married Charles E. Lawson. From this union they had two children, Lisa and Eric. After raising their children in Groves, she and Charles moved back to Bridge City in 1991. Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her grandson, Colby A. May; and her two sisters, Charlotte Poland and Beverly McQuady. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lisa Arenas and husband Johnny of Groves; son, Dr. Eric D. Lawson of Biloxi, Mississippi; grandchildren, Frances Lawson and Anabelle Lawson of Mississippi, Pollard Lawson of North Carolina, and Jefferi Arenas and wife Kristen of Tampa, Florida; her two great-grandchildren, Andi and Colby; as well as her beloved cat, Pearl, that she adored.
