Born March 2, 1948 in South Charleston, WV, she was a daughter of the late James and Betty Ann (Brentlinger) Johnston. She was a graduate of Cherry Hill High School West and went on to study Marketing at Kent State University where she was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority. Pam was employed with Springhouse Corporation, later Wolters Kluwer Health, for over 25 years as a Senior Print Buyer, retiring in 2016. Pam was a member of Church of the Messiah, Lower Gwynedd, where she worshiped and explored her steadfast Christian faith. She was also a dedicated member of the American Association of University Women for over 40 years. Over the years, she had many roles with AAUW, including board member, auction chair, and high school scholarship committee chair. She was passionate about advancing equity for women and girls and worked with tireless dedication to support these efforts. Above all else, she will be remembered for her devotion to her family, especially her six beloved grandchildren. “Gammie” enjoyed her retirement to the fullest and loved spending her time watching little league games, preschool concerts, dance recitals, and enjoying every aspect of her daughters’ and grandchildren’s lives. She was cherished for her generosity, quick-witted humor, and a selfless devotion to others by her many, dear friends. Pam was adored by her big sister; they shared a lifetime of laughter and memories as lifelong best friends. She raised three strong girls to embody her values and she was endlessly proud of them. Survivors include her daughters, Christie Haelle (Eric) of West Chester, Molly Whetstone (Jonathan) of Lansdale, and Lindsey Townsend (Jeff) of Little Elm, TX; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Madilyn, Jack, Charles, Beckett, and Ruby; and a sister, Claudia Murray (Michael) of Dublin, OH. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca Johnston.
