OTTO CLARENCE JONES September 14, 1927 – March 20, 2022 Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Kansas City, Missouri – Otto Clarence Jones, 94, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the Redwood South Nursing Home in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on September 14, 1927, in Osage City, Kansas, the son of Albert and Nellie (Pickering) Jones. Otto grew up in Osage City and graduated from Osage City High School in 1945. After high school, he joined the United States Army and served as a radio operator with the 2nd Signal Service Battalion. After the service, he moved to Kansas City and began working as a Linotype Operator in publishing. During this time, he purchased and took care of an apartment complex. He never forgot Osage City and always returned for class reunions and to take care of his mother. Otto was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie; his three brothers, Glen Jones, Louie Jones and Albert “Babe” Jones; and his two sisters, Erma Weimer and Edith Mundy. Otto is survived by several nieces and nephews. Otto’s wishes were for no services to be held and that he be buried in Osage City Cemetery. Feltner Funeral Home in Lyndon is assisting the family.
