2022
Oscar’s Obituary Oscar Eduardo Estrada Herrera, 49, a resident of the Forest Grove community passed away on November 26, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 5, 1973 in Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. He was the youngest of thirteen children born to Monico Estrada Acuña and Guadalupe Herrera Sepulveda. He moved with his family to Forest Grove at the age of three and attended Forest Grove High School graduating with the Class of 1992. From the time he was a teenager he worked. He started like most young men in construction. But he soon started working for Washington County DHS. He retired after 20 years of service as a corrections officer at the Restitution Center. Oscar loved the outdoors and you would find him hunting fishing and camping whenever he had a chance. When he was in high school Oscar played football, baseball, and wresting. His love of football followed him into adulthood as he is an avid supporter of the Steelers. He also coached his son in Football, baseball and his daughters Softball teams for majority of their youth. Being the youngest of thirteen children Oscar became very loud and outspoken amongst his family and was never scared to say what was on his mind. He was everybody’s uncle or dad and passed his skills and knowledge on to his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico to visit family and he also visited most of the National Parks in the US. Oscar was a great cook and enjoyed family gatherings and you would always find him behind the grill. He is preceded in death by his father Monico, a brother Juan and his niece Myriam. He is survived by two children, Marcus Estrada and his wife Jodi Estrada who currently reside in Gaston, Brooklyn Estrada and her fiancé Justin Brady both of Forest Grove, his mother Guadalupe Estrada Herrera of Forest Grove, eleven siblings (list all siblings here) and two grandchildren, Ellie and Ozzy and one grandchild on the way who he believes will be a boy.
