Knapp, 79, of Sylvan Beach, NY, passed away on November 12, 2022 at Betsy Ross Nursing and Rehab in Rome, NY, after a short illness. He was a son of the late Elmer C. and Thelma (Campbell) Knapp. He attended Utica Free Academy and Mohawk Valley Community College. Norm worked at Bonide Products and Infrared Components as an electronic technician in Utica. He was also an employee of Turning Stone Resort and Casino. Music was Norm’s first love and he performed in many bands as lead guitarist through out the years. Also, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, gambling and astrology. Norm is survived by three sons, Stephen Knapp, Michael Knapp and Benjamin Knapp (Robin); granddaughter, Kayla; and two sisters, Diane Brody and Denise Chandler (Randy). He will be missed by all his nieces, nephews and cousins, and his long-time friend, Ava Del Pozzo.
